Enjoyed your stay at the Fireside Lodge. The staff was welcoming and helpful in pointing out areas of interest in the local area. We stayed in the two bedroom Villa and it was so cozy and perfect for our family of four and pups. Location is centered to all the places we wanted to see, super convenient and parking at the lodge was never an issue. Highly recommend and we will be going back soon.read more

Absolutely amazing , in every aspect! From my first distraught phone call that my friends flight had been canceled to every tiny question till check out! The owners are very kind and helpful. The staff kept us very comfortable. Hands down my best experience in Big Bear! Plus the jacuzzi with the fireplace was phenomenal! If your going as a couple or group definitely stay here.read more

I’ve stayed at fireside twice now. The location is fantastic it’s close to everything. The rooms are plenty big. We had a great time swimming in the pool and relaxing. Would definitely visit againread more

I love this place. We got to suites and it was fully loaded with a kitchen and hot tub. Not to mention fireplaces in both rooms. I loved the names and cutes pictures on the doors. Balcony was to die for too. Will be back again!read more

Despite of the "not so good" comments I decided to give it a chance because nowadays people want to be treated like royalty and expect a Hilton presidential suite for $100 dlls. Staff was friendly, easy and quick check in. Room was very relatively small, but super cozy for 2 people. It was very clean, it looks like they updated linens recently. Bathroom was clean, everything in good condition, hot water working good. Heater, t.v., little fridge, microwave, and coffemaker working nice. They even had 2 bags of popcorn. I would definitely stay there again. Plus, it was like a block from The Village, and like 5 min driving to the Summit.read more

Last minute we decided to do a 2 day mini vacation to Big Bear.....someplace I've never been. Fireside was VERY affordable so our expectations were a little low, but it was within walking distance to a bunch of places which we liked. We walked into our room (#8) and it was AMAZING!!!! Extremely clean, awesome fireplace, TWO full bathrooms, private hot tub and fenced in yard for our dog Gracie!!! Yep pet friendly😊 We also had a view of Big Bear lake from our little backyard! We would recommend this place 100% and will stay here every time we come back to Big Bear!!!!read more

We stayed in room 3 studio and it was very clean and neat. The lady at the desk was so very sweet. We enjoyed our stay and will come back again. We forgot an item in the room and she was very attentive to the need of getting this item back to us quickly and will be shipping it out UPS asap. Thank you for a nice get awayread more

Bed bugs!!! Bed bugs bite in line formations and we woke up with bites going down our backs and legs really nasty ones. While I was trying to sleep I felt itching and biting but everytime I scrathed it would come right back on the same area and itch again like little bites. We thought we were trippin util we saw the bites and also saw another review about room 24 having bed bugs. Ewwww...We are never renting low price rooms again. We will stick to the bigger cleaner pricier hotels from here on out.read more

We were looking for a hotel under $200 for the weekend and honestly didn’t expect much from this place for the very affordable price point HOWEVER we were pleasantly surprised with our room. It had a kitchenette, living room with flat screen tv, cable, and fireplace (that we took full advantage of) 2 bathrooms, a king sized bed, and a private patio with a grill and hot tub. We were very comfortable and everything was very clean except for some corners and the bed frame that had cob webs. Almost walked into 2 spiders descending from another web on the bedroom ceiling. Seems some detailed dusting is what it needed, but honestly other than that, we liked it a lot. It is right down the road from the village which is fantastic, too. We would definitely consider it again for a future trip.read more

Bed Bug Alert!!! Room 24 on the night of 10/29/17. This is a small motel-like inn. Small rooms, old fixtures, patchy paint, disrepair. It's in a great location but the price is too high for what you get. The maid left trash in the room and gave us 7 hair conditioners but no soap or shampoo. If I hadn't had the bed bug problem, this place would have only gotten 2 stars. But the bed bugs just topped it off. I am highly reactive to bed bugs (only about 10-20% of people react the way i do) so I know for sure it was bed bugs. I will never stay here again.read more

Good location-short walk to lake & The Village. Very helpful & courteous staff. Ask for Christina, very bright young lady who answered any question I had about the town during my stay. Rooms overlook the lake with partial views but still enough to see. Would stay again.read more
